Exchange Server supports Windows Server 2022

With the release of Exchange Server 2019 CU12, Microsoft announced support for running Exchange Server 2019 with Windows Server 2022. Can you do an Exchange Server operating system in-place upgrade from Windows Server 2019 to Windows Server 2022? No, you can’t do that.

  2. Install Exchange Server 2019

You can install Exchange Server 2019 CU12 or later on Windows Server 2022. We recommend installing the latest Exchange Server CU when building a new Exchange Server.

It’s essential to stay on the latest Windows Server version for new features and security fixes. The mainstream end date support for Windows Server 2019 is Jan 9, 2024. So you do have time before you need to upgrade the Windows Servers in the organization.
